KPV (Lys-Pro-Val) is the final three amino acids of alpha-MSH, the hormone behind skin pigmentation. It keeps the hormone's anti-inflammatory activity without affecting pigment, and it is studied for the gut lining and the skin barrier. Available at 10 mg, as a vial or a pre-filled pen.

Overview
Alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (alpha-MSH) has two jobs: it darkens skin and it calms inflammation. Researchers found that the anti-inflammatory effect lives largely in its last three amino acids, lysine, proline and valine, which became the tripeptide KPV.KPV enters cells through PepT1, a transporter found in the gut lining, and there it dampens NF-κB, a master switch of inflammation, along with inflammatory signals such as TNF-α and IL-1β. In a study published in Gastroenterology (2008), KPV reduced intestinal inflammation in mice with colitis, and it has been studied in models of inflammatory bowel disease and a leaky gut.It is also studied in skin, wound healing and the gut-skin axis. PeptiLab supplies KPV at 10 mg, as a vial (reconstituted or dry, your choice) or a disposable pre-filled pen. It also appears in our Glow and Repair stacks.
- The anti-inflammatory core of alpha-MSH, without the tanning effect
- Dampens NF-κB, a master switch of inflammation, in research models
- Reduced colitis in mice (Gastroenterology, 2008)
- Gut and skin: studied for barrier function on both fronts
- 10 mg, as a vial or a ready-to-use pen

What users report
- A calmer gut: less bloating and discomfort, users report
- Lower overall inflammation on a daily protocol
- Calmer, clearer skin as a knock-on effect of the gut-skin axis
- Pairs with BPC-157 + TB-500 in our Repair stack

What the research shows
- Anti-inflammatory: dampens NF-κB, TNF-α and IL-1β in research models
- Gut barrier: enters gut cells through the PepT1 transporter
- Colitis models: reduced intestinal inflammation in mice (Gastroenterology, 2008)
- Skin: studied for wound healing and the gut-skin axis
C-terminal tripeptide (Lys-Pro-Val) of alpha-MSH, associated in research with inhibition of NF-κB signalling and reduced pro-inflammatory cytokine expression.
