Epitalon is a four-amino-acid peptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) modelled on a natural extract of the pineal gland. In human cells it switched on telomerase and lengthened telomeres, the protective caps on chromosomes that shorten as we age. Available at 10 mg, as a vial or a pre-filled pen.

Overview
Epitalon (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) was developed by Professor Vladimir Khavinson at the St Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology, as a synthetic version of the active principle of epithalamin, a pineal gland extract studied since the 1970s.In a 2003 study in the Bulletin of Experimental Biology and Medicine, epitalon added to human fibroblasts activated telomerase and elongated telomeres. Animal studies have linked it to longer lifespan in mice and rats and to the restoration of the melatonin rhythm in older animals.For decades it has been part of Russian longevity practice, taken in short courses once or twice a year, which makes it one of the best-known names in longevity research.
